Cops & Rodders Fall Pow Wow

Event Report: Cops & Rodders Pow Wow 10/22/17

Great day, good show.  Announced attendance at 288 vehicles. Poway Cruisers had 12 in the show. We got there about 6:50AM, and the park was already ¾ full, but we still got good parking on the marina side of the center part.  As planned the group that caravanned together parked together: George & Joyce in their ’37 Buick Special Coupe Custom, Jack Brackx in his ’70 Cadillac Eldorado, Ron & Kathy Shedd in their ’69 Camaro RS SS, and John McDowell and his ’38 Ford 2dr Sedan. We were able to save a space for Ed VanLaningham & Lana Thompson and their ’65 Falcon Convertible who joined us a little later. By the time the 9:00 AM cutoff came, the park was pretty full.  Walking the show we found another 7 members cars scattered around he park: Benda Anthony in her ’99 Jeep, Lou & Joyce Heyn with their ’88 Camaro, Dale Vermillion with his ’67 Corvette, Eric & Brenda Bense in their ’12 Dodge Challenger SRT8, Joe Musick and his Dad in his ’69 Opel GT, Chuck & Jenny Bush with their ’29 Ford Model A Sedan, and Hollywood & Vine with their ’56 Chevrolet.

Only one, Dale Vermillion’s ’67 Corvette, took home an award. $400+ to the 50/50 winner, not me, and Joyce won a Route 66 Wall Clock in the raffle. Great weather (warm, not very hot, nice bay breeze), lots of activity on the bay. Lots of really great cars and a lot of very nice people, altogether a great day on the bay. Once again the Poway Cruisers brought the fun!
