Madam Mechanic Car Show 6-4-17

What a beautiful day for hanging out with car friends.  Started out cool, but by 10:00 AM was warming up nicely. The Madam Mechanic Car Show at the RB Alive Street Fair produced by Karen Dunn, owner and operator of Poway Transmission, had seventeen (17) vehicles on display, with ten (10) of them representing the Poway Cruisers Car Club. With the street fair in full song, there were lots of interesting venders, live entertainment activities, and local eateries open to help pass the time. We hung out from 9:00 AM to a little before 3:00 PM when Karen announced the results of the voting for show favorites. The voting included ballots from participants as well as the general public. The top three favorites where: Earl Asbury’s ’29 Ford Model A Sedan Delivery; Fred Adler’s ’61 Corvair Rampside Pickup; and, George & Joyce Cowman’s ’37 Buick Special Coupe.  Earl’s ’29 garnered the most votes and took home the Best of Show Award. Congratulations, Earl!

The next Madam Mechanic Car Show will be October 28th, as a fundraiser for the Community Church of Poway.
