This Saturday, October 2nd
Man, time flies when you’re having fun doesn’t it. We’ll start setting up at 8:30 AM, with the festivities to start at 10:00 AM. We’ll relax, enjoy each others company and the beautiful So Cal weather, play some games, eat some very good food, and be done by 2:00 PM. We’ll be in Section 6 on the northeast side of the park overlooking the lake and concession area. We also have the north side of the parking lot immediately adjacent to Section 6 reserved, which has about 20 parking spaces for those that want to bring their hot rod, custom, muscle car, or classic.
Kaaren Thiem has put together a great plan. We’ll have some games, music, and the best hamburgers in San Diego that day. She is still looking for some potluck food items, and a table or 2 for the “stuff”, and maybe a few folks to help get it all setup and cleaned up afterwards. So far we have 48 people signed up to participate, so there is plenty of room for more. If you have not already signed up to participate, just give me a call or an email and I’ll add you to the signup sheet. We need a final count by Thursday, 9/30, so we can buy the hamburgers, buns, and fixings.
Regarding park use fees: if you’re not a Poway resident you may have to pay $5.00 to park. In the past they have NOT been collecting the fee, but with the present economic situation, they may this year.
