Santee Car Show & Festival

Hi Cruisers,

Some of you guys missed a great car show!! I’ll be going back next year.

The weather was a little warm but a nice breeze all day made it very comfortable. Bill and I took advantage of the Shaved Ice vendor and a few others while we just sat back and relaxed. I even went shopping and found some luggage on sale at TG-Max.

I’ve included some pictures that I took in the early morning just after we were all parked at around 8:00am. You don’t see many spectators now, but by 10:30 it was packed with people.
It was about a ¼ of a mile from where we were parked to the stage so next time we will get here a little later. They started parking cars by the furthermost parking spots first so it was a long walk to all the food venders and the beer garden. It didn’t save me any calories though; I still made the walk numerous times.

Only down side, it was a little too long but with all the trophies it was worth the wait.

We had 10 Cruisers entered in the show and 8 attended. Bill Bryan, Ed VanLaningham, Lana Thompson, William Farmer, Bob Dunn, Rick Laffoon, Dave Banks and myself.

We had three Trophy winners:

Bob Dunn 67 Camaro RS/SS
Lana Thompson 76 Corvette
Earl Asbury 29 Ford Sedan Delivery

And

Santee Club Participation Trophy
